South Park Modern Makeover transformed a dated, compartmentalized home into a bright and contemporary space designed around how the homeowner wanted to live and entertain.
Working with architect Peter Brooks, Artistic Contractors removed nearly every interior wall to connect the previously separated dining, kitchen, and living areas. The powder room was also relocated to the existing back laundry area, creating a much more functional layout.
The new kitchen became the heart of the home, centered around a large custom island with generous seating. Beside it, a dedicated beverage and coffee station includes a hidden TV and built-in kegerator, adding a thoughtful entertaining feature without disrupting the clean design.
The existing see-through brick fireplace was completely updated with modern white tile and a custom-built fire insert with remote-control capabilities. Throughout the kitchen, the homeowner chose a crisp white palette for the cabinetry, countertops, and tile, creating a clean backdrop for colorful artwork, vases, and personal pieces.
The finished renovation feels open, bright, personal, and purpose-built for entertaining—turning an outdated interior into a contemporary home with a strong sense of character.
