A highly personalized modern Mediterranean residence in Piper Glen, defined by European-inspired finishes, a hand-painted sky dome, blue glass chandelier, walnut flooring, travertine details, and substantial cedar architectural elements.
Piper Glen Eclectic Drama was created for a homeowner with a very specific design vision, resulting in a custom residence that blends modern Mediterranean architecture with an eclectic European aesthetic.
The foyer sets the tone immediately. A plaster dome ceiling is hand-painted with a vivid sky and cloud scene, while a hand-blown glass chandelier hangs at its center like a bright blue star. Together, these elements give the entry a distinctly artistic character.
Throughout the home, 6-inch-wide natural walnut flooring adds warmth and continuity. Random-pattern travertine introduces a more textured, Old World feel in the kitchen and master bedroom, creating an interesting contrast with the home’s cleaner architectural lines.
The exterior continues the Mediterranean influence with a hard-coat stucco finish, oversized trim, and concrete tile roofing. Decorative soffits made from substantial 8-inch-thick cedar timbers add another layer of natural texture and craftsmanship.
Rather than following a single design formula, the home brings together bold color, European materials, traditional Mediterranean influences, and highly customized details to create a residence that feels genuinely personal and distinctive.
