Modern French Country is a new home in Charlotte’s Myers Park, designed and built from the ground up by Artistic Contractors for a private client. The home is 3,726 square feet.
The exterior is restrained: crisp white finishes set against natural cedar beams, softened by the mature greenery around it. The look is traditional in proportion and clean in its detailing.
Inside, the cedar carries through the main living spaces, giving the open plan warmth and structure. The kitchen is organized around a 12-foot waterfall island, large enough to work at, gather around and entertain from.
Oversized barn doors let the main rooms open to one another or close off for privacy, so the house adapts to how it is being used.
Upstairs, the bath has a large walk-in shower set flush with the surrounding floor. The curbless detail keeps the room open and makes it easy to live with.
Natural wood, bright interiors and clean architectural lines give the home its modern French country character.
