Modern Home Remodeling Project In South Park
This dated home was in need of fresh new look. There were walls everywhere and all rooms were closed off. There was a traditional dining room, a powder room was connected to kitchen, and the living room was a separate area.
Peter Brooks, the architect came up with a modern concept to make all the separated spaces into one. We knocked down almost every interior wall and opened the space up completely. We moved the powder room to the existing back laundry area.
The homeowner wanted a space to entertain and that’s exactly what she got. We built a huge custom island that had ample seating. Off to the side we created a beverage or coffee station with a hidden TV and built-in kegerator. The existing see-through brick fireplace was covered in a modern white tile and a new fire insert was custom made with remote control capabilities.
The Owner wanted a blank white canvas for all the cabinets, counter tops and tile. She wanted to make a statement and that’s exactly what she did. She then added pops of color with vases or decorative pieces to highlight their families’ memories. The project turned out to be truly stunning. The pictures don’t even do it justice.
